The Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology*

*This museum, though it is fairly small, is notable for a couple of reasons.  First it has an astounding collection of high quality ichnofossils (fossil footprints) from the Coconino Sandstone (exposed in the Grand Canyon and other locations in the surrounding area) and from other formation across the southwestern U.S., as well as a good collection of other material.  Secondly, while this museum could be the pride of some university, it is actually located at a high school.   And the students have, over the years, participated in both the collection and preparation of the material.  It is really quite remarkable.
